Same with Elettra in Idomeneo. Mozart also wrote slightly less ferocious revenge arias for Bartolo and the Count in Figaro. Horses for courses. I love the Swedish title 'Trollflöjten', which doesn't exactly translate as 'The Amazing Whistle'.
